Now Binjai Rise is famous. Not just because it has many beautiful good class bungalows (GCB), but because one of these GCBs is bought by world renowned movie star – Jet Li (李连杰). He plunked down $19.8 million for the house in Binjai Rise last month. The price works out to $871 per square foot based on the freehold land area of 22,723 square feet.

My favourite Jet Li movies has to be him as Wong Fei Hong (in Once Upon A Time in China). He is among the world renowned movie stars that have choosen to make Singapore their home – not just for their children’s education. Jet Li intends to set up a base for his charity and disaster-relief group One Foundation. The Jet Li One Foundation Singapore was registered in June 2008.
