If they implement such a tax what would happen? Can you explain to me if I invest in China property – as foreign investor, would I be affected by this tax. Is it still a good time to buy property in Shanghai? I just went to World Expo and Shanghai is a very nice city, very beautiful, and many modern buildings. My wife likes Shanghai very much too. Tell me please.

My personal opinion is that I would prefer a leasehold property near to the MRT, as near as possible, just like Kovan Residences (Kovan MRT) or Central (Clarke Quay MRT) not just for living, but also for investment, I believe more people will be wanting to take public transport instead of driving.
